Kanzashi for Weddings

	I learned the art of kanzashi when my husband and I married in 2008. I made more than 50 wedding kanzashi to give to my girlfriends at our wedding. I wanted these friends to have a keepsake and to know how special they are to me.
	I also made a tiny hair pin from my wedding dress fabric. This memorial pin will always remind me of one of the most special days of my life!
	In the summer of 2010, my friend Barbara brought me her 50-year-old wedding dress with the request that I make 14 kanzashi for her to give as gifts to children and grandchildren. I was so nervous as I made my first cuts into that precious fabric! I was pleased with the final product and, thankfully, so was Barbara!
