Wearing Kanzashi

Scroll down the page to see how you might choose to wear or to display your kanzashi.

I have combined my kanzashi art with the art of a local friend, Betty Conte, to create a line of jewelry that we call Amelia Island Expressions. These new pieces incorporate Japanese kanzashi and local beach finds, such as shells and shark’s teeth. Enjoy wearing these funky and fun necklaces – & enjoy the island life!

Kanzashi are frequently worn on shirts, sweaters or coats.
Some people like to put them on hats.
Some people like to attach them to purses. Shelley knitted this pretty purse and attached her kanzashi to it!
Kanzashi make lovely pendants.
You may like to wear a kanzashi barrette!
Kanzashi attached to flip flops give a wonderful, fun “pop” of color to your feet!
Here is Sophie modeling a colorful kanzashi headband!
Your Christmas tree may even like to wear a memorial kanzashi!
You may like to attach a memorial kanzashi to a special photo. This is the first photo taken of me and my sister Judy.
